There are several ways a business can become an Early Childhood Advocate and be recognized as one throughout the County.

  • Build awareness and educate employees about the importance of the investment in early childhood
  • Provide marketing of the early childhood programs that are offered throughout the County
  • Ensure employees are aware of the resources available to them including early childhood programs
  • Allow company facilities to be used for parenting classes and groups
  • Provide financial sponsorship for a parenting group, a workshop, kindergarten readiness activities, or any early learning systems
  • Host informational sessions to employees on early childhood topics and community resources
  • Allow employees to volunteer at early learning program events during work hours
  • Sponsor a training for early childhood providers
  • Participate in fundraising events for early childhood programs and early intervention
  • “Adopt” a childcare provider or preschool to help get children books and supplies, and plan reading days
  • Partner with a home visitor to understand their role with families
  • Co-sponsor a family activity in the community
  • Have a Family Resource Facilitator present their support role to employees
  • Co-sponsor/host a Ready for Kindergarten activity such as Play2Learn, Kindercamp, etc.
