The Douglas County Childcare Coalition, co-led by Care Connections & Education and Business Champions for Kids, is here to provide extra support for those who work in childcare and those starting or growing a childcare business.

Whether you’re launching a new program, working as a childcare staff member, or expanding your business, this hub connects you to Childcare Coalition funding, resources, and support to help you thrive.

Childcare Incentive Program

Program Update
The Douglas County Childcare Incentive Program will end February 2028.
Final applications accepted through February 28, 2028.

Financial bonuses are available for:

New childcare staff hired in the last 60 days
New or expanding childcare owners/operators licensed in the last 60 days
Providers adding slots in high-need care types (Douglas County only)
Publicly funded programs including public school or HeadStart. Preschool Promise sites may be eligible (see guidelines)
Started working at a childcare site more than 60 days ago
Licensed to open or expand a childcare site more than 60 days ago
